• Built business plan to move Trimble into new Web targeted consumer wireless security markets based on a mobile location assistant that incorporated GPRS, Bluetooth, web navigation and cutting edge GPS technologies.
• Developed partnerships with the largest wireless carriers in the US and Mexico, major insurance and security companies, retail channels, ASPs and Internet development teams on three continents.

Palm, Inc., Santa Clara, CA                        (2000 - 2001)
Sr Marketing Manager (Director Grade) Palm OS Licensing, Platform Solutions Group
• Directed the global account management team with relationship responsibilities for all Palm licensees (e.g. Sony, Handspring, Nokia, Acer, Kyocera, Garmin, Symbol, Samsung, 3Com). During this time licensees rolled out nine new handheld products including smartphones, multimedia units, wireless handheld scanners and Internet appliances.
• Personally developed relationships and closed contracts with all three of Palm’s second generation licensees for over $28M in revenue.
• Wrote the business plan/MRD for Palm’s Mobile Internet Access Kit (Palm.Net, Web Clipping, email, GPRS and SMS) and accessories (cables, 802.11 and Bluetooth)
• Managed negotiating team for Palm OS based carrier device certification (Sprint, Verizon) and information services supporting Palm.net

• Managed product marketing, planning and business development team for $35M Marco wireless communicator (PDA) project, additionally directed the application software efforts and the alpha and beta field-testing, press tours, focus groups, MRD/TRDs.
• Directed the strategic marketing and business development team for wireless packet data operators (such as Nextel, Sprint, Tetra, Clearnet) in the North American, South American and Asian markets. $35M Nextel project was the first public nationwide wireless packet data network in the US.
• Identified and secured $20M in orders for second generation PDA products for GSM, Tetra and DataTac carriers and customers in Europe, Asia and North America.
• Negotiated contracts and relationships with carriers, service providers, systems integrators and distribution channels to complement the wireless product portfolio with breakout technologies including WAP, Java, Bluetooth, smartcards and telematics.
